The Rover P5 club was founded in 1985 thanks to Practical Classics magazine. The club was formed barely 10 years after the model went out of production after a suggestion from then PC editor John Williams to P5 owners Norman Pearce, Paul Whatmore and David Lee at the Bristol Classic car show.
The club now boasts over 700 members many of whom join the club in order to buy their first P5. Because of this, the club decided to change its name from Rover P5 Owners' Club, as owning an example of the model was not a requisite to join.
We wish the P5 Club a very happy anniversary, and here's to the next 25 years!
